Gifts are wrapped, house is clean (mostly because we have some of my husband’s family coming over so we can do a family portrait for them) and tonight going out to see two of our local faves. Hope this time we can get some good photos. Either way it’s fine, we get to hear great music. But I really do want some good photos of both of them.

Just watched “The Cove” for the first time. One of my best friends is from Japan, she encouraged me to watch it. I’m glad I finally did. I had a hard time convincing myself to watch it because I know how I am when seeing an animal harmed or killed and I knew this would be very hard for me to watch. My family has to call me before they butcher beef steers so that I don’t...

Sending off a secret santa package to Australia today. It was supposed to be something photography related. So I’m sending a couple of my prints and a bracelet made to look like the focus ring of a Canon 24-70mm lens. Hope she likes it. Couldn’t get much of a sense of what she’d like from her tumblr page.

Got some amazing news from the admissions office. They are giving me a academic scholarship for $2500!!! This is going to be such a big help. Plus it’s for four years (not that I need to go that long, but still). So excited to tell my husband and family.

Just started watching Lost today, and it’s the episode where the Korean couple is talking about running away to America to elope. I love listening to them talk. I think Korean is such a beautiful language. It makes me miss my roommate from college too. She was from Korea, and when her dad would call I’d answer the phone a lot so I learned a bit of Korean to speak with him. He knew some...

So I realize I’m way behind, but I’m finally going to sit down and watch Lost. Don’t know how I missed it when it first started. But by the time I knew how amazing it would be, I didn’t want to jump in mid story. Now that it’s over I’m finally finding the time to watch it. Thank you netflix.
matruitt asked: I just saw your comment on the photo of the Afghan girl, and no, the girl who traveled to CA for surgery is not the same girl at all, she's a completely different person. just letting you know.

I just saw that the piercer I normally go to is offering a special. I really would love to get a vertical labret. My husband doesn’t really like the idea, but he’d get used to it. But I hesitate to get it done because I worry it will look a but silly. I’m not some kid anymore….. If I was still in my early 20’s I’d get it without hesitation. Not sure what to do.
